Learning difficulties
A learning difficulty is a neurological problem. This means that it is a difficulty that results from the way the brain is ‘wired up’. Learning difficulties not only affect children but a similar percentage of adults are also challenged by these issues.
There are different types of learning difficulties which affect a person’s ability to learn in different ways. In many cases people with learning difficulties experience similar symptoms such as difficulties with reading, writing, spelling and concentration. Depending on the severity of the neurological problem it is very common for those affected to be categorised according to their symptoms.
